Founded in 1958 by brothers and lifelong Washingtonians Joseph (Joe) and Larry Horning, the company began as Horning Brothers with a vision that extended beyond real estate. From the start, the focus was not simply on developing apartments and commercial spaces, but on creating strong, connected communities. For nearly 70 years, we have developed residential and commercial properties across Washington, DC and throughout the greater metropolitan region.
