Horning is thrilled to announce Stephanie Liotta-Atkinson as its new Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. With a real estate career spanning 15 years, Stephanie brings invaluable expertise and leadership to Horning's executive team.

In her dual role, Stephanie will spearhead the strategic and operational direction of Horning's property management, compliance, human resources, and marketing departments. She will also provide legal guidance and oversight as General Counsel. Stephanie will play a vital role in driving growth, enhancing resident experiences, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing legal counsel across Horning's diverse portfolio of properties.

"We are excited to welcome Stephanie to our executive team," said Jamie Weinbaum, President and CEO of Horning. “In addition to Stephanie’s strategic mindset and great technical prowess, she is a natural fit at Horning because she embodies our core values that underpin all that we do each and every day.”

Most recently, Stephanie was Chief Operating Officer and a Director on the Board of MidCity Financial Corporation, a Bethesda-based real estate firm specializing in affordable multifamily housing. Stephanie is passionate about affordable housing and resident services, and her work at MidCity spanned operations, legal and corporate governance, asset management, and entitlement.

Before joining MidCity, Stephanie served as Vice President and General Counsel at the Menkiti Group, overseeing the operations of the firm’s portfolio of real estate companies.

“Horning has a tremendous reputation and an important legacy in Washington’s real estate community, particularly in the affordable housing space. I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining this passionate and talented team” says Stephanie.

Stephanie serves on the boards of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Washington, DC & Northern Virginia, the DC Policy Center, and one of the operating boards of the Whitman-Walker Health System. Stephanie holds a BA in Philosophy and Politics from Mount Holyoke College and a law degree from Georgetown University.
